What you will be doing:
• Ability to clearly communicate with client, public, media, engineers and
subcontractors verbally and in writing
• Perform bridge inspection and condition assessments
• Ability to create technical reports
• Coordinate bridge and roadway repairs with crews and subcontractors
• Ability to review plans, contracts, bid documents and technical reports
• Ability to review standards and specify equipment and materials for
maintenance and construction work
Capabilities of the ideal candidate include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 8 years of progressive work experience
• Registered as PE or able to receive registration through reciprocity
• Project Management experience is a plus
• Must have a CBSI Certification
• Knowledge of CAD and manual drafting principles, methods and techniques
• Bridge construction and design experience
• Road construction and design experience is a plus
• Must have knowledge of all PennDOT Structural Programs
• Design/build or contractor/construction engineering experience a plus
• Road construction and design experience is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
