Mid-Atlantic Region

Fort Washington SEPTA Station Parking Expansion

Fort Washington, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania

McMahon provided the construction layout services for a $4.6 million construction contract. The project involved complete reconstruction and expansion of existing facilities and two entrance roads. Our survey tasks included layout of a 425 foot retaining wall, drainage, electrical facilities, curb, and total reconstruction of 900 feet of roadway. In addition, the project included layout and construction of the extension of a pedestrian tunnel under the existing tracks, associated stairways and ramps, and layout of caissons for future platforms, ramps and stairs.


Forty Foot Road and Sumneytown Pike (S.R. 0063) Survey

Towamencin Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania

McMahon provided construction layout and survey services for the roadway improvement project. The project included complete roadway reconstruction widening from two lanes to five, and construction of a pedestrian bridge over Forty Foot Road. Our department supported all phases of the roadway construction. Our survey crews performed these operations with state of the art equipment, including GPS and robotic total stations.


Benjamin Franklin Highway (S.R. 422) & Old Swede Road (S.R. 662) Survey

Amity Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania

McMahon provided topographic base mapping for a multi-intersection roadway improvement project. Survey crews obtained detailed roadway cross sections, signal and utility positions, and locations of surrounding features. This project used GPS technology to place the project in the Pennsylvania State Plane Coordinate system. Vertical datum established by differential leveling to establish project benchmarks.
